Instrumental testing

Instrumental methods are applied to test the efficacy of cosmetic products. It is a means to measure such skin paramaters as:
hydration;
TEWL (transepidermal water loss) ;
sebum (lubrication) ;
skin pH;
firmness and elasticity;
colouring and pigmentation;
wrinkle depth;
skin smoothness;
number of pores;
skin redness;
hair volume, texture and thickness;
cellulite;
sweat rate (gravimetry), which allows for evaluating anti-perspirant products.
